PURPOSE:To prevent to reduce a color density, even if making contact the titled material with formalin during a storage by incorporating a compd. capable of fixing formalin by reacting with it (a formalin scavenger) to a silver halide emulsion layer. CONSTITUTION:The compds. shown by formulas I, II and III are used for the scavenger. The compd. shown by formula I (wherein R1-R3 are each a hydrogen atom, an alkyl, an alkenyl, an aralkyl, an aryl or an acyl group, R4 and R5 are each a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group) is a glycolyl compd. and the compd. shown by formula II (wherein R6 and R7 are each a hydrogen atom, an alkyl, an aryl, an acyl, an alkoxycarbonyl, a carbamoyl or an amino group, X is -CH- or -N- group) is used, and the compd. shown by formula III (wherein R8 is an alkyl or an aryl group) is a phenolic compd. The titled material is produced by incorporating said compds. to the silver halide color emulsion layer. Thus, the titled material does not reduce the color density and has a less tendency for generating a fog, even if making contact it with formalin during the storage. |
