PURPOSE:To obtain a carburetor with excellent controllability by making a movable piece forming the variable Venturi together with a throat section protruding inward in an air passage movable downward with the negative pressure and providing a throttle plate rotatable around the axis of the air passage below the movable piece. CONSTITUTION:A throat section 2 protruding inward in an air passage penetrating in the up-and-down direction and an annular orifice 5 opened at the inner periphery of this throat section 2 are provided to constitute a housing 1, and a fuel reservoir 13 communicated to the orifice 5 through an air bleed section 9 is formed in the housing 1. A movable piece 3 is arranged in the air passage coaxially with the throat section 2 movably up and down to form the variable Venturi together with the throat section 2. A piston section 33 extended downward from this movable piece 3 is slidably coupled with a head section 40 to form a negative pressure chamber 7 between both 33, 40, thus the movable piece 3 is made movable downward by the suction negative pressure introduced into the chamber 7. A throttle plate 4 for controlling the flow is rotatably provided below this movable piece 3. |
