A running or walking shoe is described, which essentially consists of an outsole which is designed as a shaped body, with integrated foot-side surfaces, and which represents an outer shell (10), onto which the upper material (15) of the shoe is sewn. Present as an intermediate layer between the edge (14) of the outer shell (10) and the upper material (15) is a T-profile (20) made of soft elastic or poro-elastic material, one leg of the T-profile (20) being held sealingly under light pressure by the seam. <IMAGE>
