<p>An abseiling device (1) consisting of a sliding element (10) in which a cable (13) is fed in a guide channel (2), and on which a carrier device (3) is arranged for receiving a belt or similar item, is designed in such a way that the sliding element (10) has an approximately U-shaped form and has a tubular cross-section, whereby the inside of the element (10) forms the guide channel (2). In addition, the point of application of the carrier device (3) on the sliding element (10) is arranged in a region located opposite the cable outlet openings (7, 8). This design provides an abseiling device which is used preferably for the rescuing of persons, is easy to operate, dispenses with the need to return the sliding piece and can be made at an attractive price.</p> |
