This odometer comprises a pocket calculator 2, in which a storage of the functions or of the data is associated with the key = 25 and with at least one contact device 3 mounted on the contact terminals of the key = 25 and capable of closing the circuit of the key 25 to which it is associated on each step or wheel revolution performed. The contact device 3 for walking is formed by a lever 10 hinged inside a box 4, capable of oscillating at each step and of closing the circuit 20, 10; 13, 23 associated with each oscillation by contact with a conducting plate 13. This device may also comprise a contact device for a bicycle formed of a moving part capable of revolving with a cycle wheel with respect to at least one other stationary part and of interacting with this stationary part so as to close the circuit associated with this contact device on each revolution of the wheel.
