PURPOSE:To enable the attainment of stable recording even when ambient temperature or the like varies, by heating an ink supply sheet by means of a heater before the sheet reaches a thermal head in a recording apparatus of an ink jet system wherein ink filled up in a hole of the ink supply sheet is heated by the thermal head and jetted by the pressure of a bubble generated by heating. CONSTITUTION:An ink supply sheet 1 supplied with ink 6 in an ink tank 5 comes in contact with a heat roller 3 and is heated thereby. Thereafter the ink supply sheet 1 reaches a thermal head 2. When a voltage is impressed selectively on the thermal head 2 in accordance with printing data in the condition that the ink supply sheet has been heated to an optimum temperature, a heating element 2a of the thermal head, which is selected, is heated, a bubble is thereby generated in a stable manner on the interface with the ink in a hole 1a of the ink supply sheet 1, the ink is jetted from the hole 1a by the pressure of this bubble to stick on recording paper 8, and thus stable printing can always be attained independently of an ambient temperature. |
