PURPOSE:To improve the heat transfer efficiency and to shorten the heat storage time by providing a partition plate having holes or a partition net within a heat storage vessel containing a heat storage material and reversing the heat storage vessel at the time of storing heat. CONSTITUTION:A partition plate 4 having therein holes 5 or a partition net is provided within a heat storage vessel 1, and in the latter half of a heat storage time zone a substantially solid heat storage material 3 exists at the lower part of the partition plate 4. Under such a condition, a heat storage vessel 1 is rotated as shown by arrows and the upper surface and lower surface are reversed to each other. By this procedure, the lower surface A of the solid heat storage material 3 receives heat mainly from the lower surface side of the heat storage vessel 1 and quickly melts due to the natural convection of a liquefied heat storage material 3. The side surface B' of the solid heat storage material 3 and the upper surface B thereof receive heat given from the side surface of the heat storage vessel 1, and melt. By the above described processings, the solid heat storage material 3 quickly continues to melt by receiving heat in the latter half of the heat storage time zone, and the heat storage time is shortened as a whole. Separation phenomenon into a substance having a high melting point and that having a low melting point with a large content of moisture is relaxed. |
