Process for adhesive bonding of components at least one of which is transparent, especially with a view to avoiding any break in the continuity of appearance in the region(s) of adhesive bonding existing between the internal faces of joined components assembled by means of this adhesive bonding. This process is characterised in that: - first of all, on the inner face 4 of the component of transparent material 1, in the region 6 which, after adhesive bonding, will be covered by the other component, a layer 9 is made to adhere, of a product 8 of any type known as being opaque and capable, on the one hand, of supporting the adhesive bonding of the other component and, on the other hand, of reproducing, through the transparent component 1, the appearance which the other component would at least locally present if it were applied without adhesive bonding;then - the adhesive bonding 3 is produced between this layer and the other component.
