A reopenable adaptor for receiving a flexible conduit comprises a body portion (10), a rotatable coupling nut (12) and a retaining ring (14). A flange (16) acts as an abutment for the retaining ring (14) and a part of the body portion (10) is provided with a screw-threaded section (18). The retaining ring (14) has an internally threaded portion (20). The pitch and radius of the two threaded parts are identical, but their peak and trough diameters are such as form a clearance to enable a flexible conduit (22) to be accommodated therebetween. A braided screening shield (34) may also be housed internally of the flexible conduit (22). Alternatively, a heat shrinkable sleeve in which a braided screening shield is located is held in position by the retaining ring after being heat shrunk on to the threaded portion. <IMAGE>
