In the case of the combined stapling and perforating device for sheet paper, the staple hammer and the anvil for shaping the staples are mounted between the perforating stamps and the stamping dies on the same side of the base body. The staple magazine is mounted opposite the stapling and perforating side. The actuating hood is mounted on the base body on the stapling and perforating side and supports the stops for the perforating stamp and a pivotable supporting bracket for actuating the staple hammer. The supporting bracket is engaged with or disengaged from the staple hammer by means of a switching knob outside the actuating hood and is self-locking in its end positions.
