The present invention relates to a device for shaping batons of a food product, especially to be used as stuffing for pancakes or the like. This device comprises a longitudinal extrusion tube 3 which is approximately horizontal, in which the food product is moved under pressure in a predetermined direction 2; towards the downstream end, the extrusion tube 2 opens out into a longitudinal metering tube 27 capable of sliding longitudinally with respect to the extrusion tube 3 so as to accompany the movement of the food product towards the downstream end and then to come back towards the upstream end leaving a baton of food product overhanging towards the downstream end; a transverse shearing plate 38 carried by the metering tube 27 shears the baton thus formed whilst it contributes to forming this baton by blocking off the metering tube 27 towards the downstream end during the joint movement of the metering tube 27 and of the food product. Optionally shaped batons are thus obtained which are favourable in subsequent industrialised processes, and with the food product retaining its organoleptic qualities. <IMAGE> |
