<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a breakdown trouble in the weld portion of a retainer for a rolling bearing, by deviating the forming position of the weld portion from a range which is near the base portion of the retainer and is likely to suffer stress concentration. CONSTITUTION:In a retainer (retainer for a cylindrical roller bearing) in which respective circular arc lengths (x1, x2) between the intersecting points of the first side ring 10 and adjacent pillars 14 are equal to respective circular arc lengths (y1, y2) between the intersecting points of the second side ring 12 and adjacent pillars 14, the respective circular lengths are set bigger than three times of width of the pillar 14, and a gate portion G is disposed on one or plural pillars 14. When the gate portion G is disposed at one position, the total number of pockets is made as an odd number, and when the gate portion G is disposed at plural positions, odd-numbered pockets are provided between adjacent mutual gate portions. The location of the gate portion G is disposed on a position which exceeds one and half times of thicknesses t1, t2 of the first and second side rings 10, 12 from the intersecting points of the first and second side rings 10, 12 and the pillars 14 along the cross-sectional center line of the pillars 14.</p> |
