摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To surely and quickly stop rolling and to improve dimensional accuracy in the stage of stopping the rolling by decelerating a main motor down to the speed at which a crank does not make coasting by >=1 turns and disengaging a main clutch at the point of the time when the detected rotating angle of the crank satisfies the specific equation. CONSTITUTION:The driving power of the main motor 41 is transmitted via the main clutch 42 to the crank 42 for driving a roll stand and rolling is executed. The motor 41 is decelerated down to the speed at which the crank 46 does not make coasting by >=1 turns in the stage of stopping the rolling. The clutch 42 is disengaged at the point of the time when the deceleration is confirmed and when the detected angle of the crank 46 satisfies theta1-K<=theta<=theta2-K. In the equation, theta1: the min. rotating angle of the crank at which the material does not receive axial stress when the rolling is stopped, theta2: the max. rotating angle of the same, K: the idle angle since the command for disengaging the main clutch is emitted until the crank stops actually.</p>
