<p>PURPOSE:To enhance the removing capacity of ammonia nitrogen, by keeping the stagnation time in a cylindrical tank long and operating a disc at a high rotational speed. CONSTITUTION:In such a state that a rotary disc body 2 is partially immersed, for example, the depth of water is set so that the stagnation time of water 4 to be treated in a disc body water tank 1 can be secured for about 60min or more to increase the volume of the water tank 1. This rotary disc apparatus is operated at a peripheral speed of 25m/min or more. By this method, the contact frequency of the biofilm adhered to the disc body with ammonia nitrogen in water to be treated is enhanced and the removing capacity of ammonia nitrogen can be markedly enhanced.</p> |
