The present invention relates to a loudspeaker unit capable of being used in a damp environment and, possibly, in a liquid environment, in particular in water. According to the invention, it comprises at least one electrodynamic loudspeaker 8 with diaphragm, a frame 9 surrounding the loudspeaker 8, and a leaktight enclosure 10 connected to the frame 9 and delimiting a gas volume to one side of the loudspeaker 8, the frame 9 and/or the enclosure 10 being able to constitute a float for the said loudspeaker unit.
