The invention relates to a device for adjusting the pressure-reducing valve of a gas reservoir such as a lighter reservoir, the said pressure-reducing valve comprising an element 15 made of a material such as absorbent paper arranged so as to be compressed to a greater or lesser extent between a fixed seat 7 and a surface 14 of a flow control valve 11. The said flow control valve has a non-circular section, is engaged in a fixed guide piece 8 of corresponding section and has, at one end, a thread arranged to cooperate with a corresponding thread formed in an adjusting piece, the said adjusting piece being fixed in translation but capable of being driven in rotation by a control element. <IMAGE>
