<p>In order to obtain flat strip sections from a cold-rolled metal strip, with a minimum use of technical equipment, a longitudinal slitting unit (5) is arranged between the tensioning drum assemblies (3, 4 and 11, 12), in particular between the tensioning drum assembly (3, 4) on the input side and the straightening unit (6) of a stretch-flattening installation for a strip (1). With this arrangement of the longitudinal slitting unit, it is not necessary to have the otherwise essential additional stretch-flattening of the strip sections once the stretch-flattening has been performed on the strip. In addition, the strip sections between the two tensioning drum assemblies (3, 4 and 11, 12) have the same length.</p> |
