In a tenon hinge for furniture with a fixed first part having a first fastening tenon and with a second part connected to a door and having a second fastening tenon, the two parts have sleeve and pin regions engaging one into the other in a known way. A compression spring acting transversely to the axis of rotation and with a thrust piece is arranged in at least one of the tenons. The thrust piece bears against the circumferential face of the pin region, the circumferential face having a thrust face set back in the direction of the axis of rotation. This design results in a keeping-shut and closing effect of the tenon hinge.
