The invention relates to a balance with a carrier block fixed to the housing and with a movable regulating block carrying the balance pan, in which balance the top sides and undersides of the carrier block and regulating block are connected to one another by means of links, and in which balance, in order to compensate the corner-load errors, the legs of the upper link, which face the carrier block and which terminate as fastening plates, are connected to fastening surfaces in the region of the top side of the carrier block, the inclinations of which fastening surfaces can be varied independently of one another in the longitudinal direction of the legs of the upper link by means of adjusting screws. A fine setting of the inclinations of the fastening surfaces, along with an automatic securing of the adjusting screws in the set positions, is achieved in that, on one longitudinal side of the carrier block, vertical adjusting blocks on the carrier block are divided off in the region of the narrow-side ends, in that the adjusting blocks are connected in one piece to the carrier block in the region of the top side of the latter, form with their top sides the fastening surfaces and, in the region of their free lower ends, can be deflected perpendicularly to the longitudinal side of the carrier block by means of horizontal adjusting screws adjustable in threaded bores of the carrier block, and in that, in the initial positions, the fastening surfaces of the adjusting blocks lie with their inclinations outside the maximum setting range and, by means of the adjusting screws, ... into this setting range and, therein, into their ...
