Moulded hose branches, such as are required, for example, for the cooling system of motor vehicle engines, are produced in accordance with known methods by inserting an angular pipe moulded part (3) made of a metal or plastics material into the hose line, the hose ends (1, 2) being slipped over the pipe connections of the moulded part and vulcanised together therewith. According to the invention, the hose ends (1, 2) are additionally secured by elastomeric annular members (4, 5) formed from plastics material which shrinks when subjected to heat, the annular members (4, 5) being slipped over the hose ends in the manner of clamps and being vulcanised together therewith. The annular members simultaneously serve to apply the pressure required to produce the vulcanised connections. During use, the moulded hoses increase the strength of the branch and its sealing quality, even when subjected to intense variations in pressure. <IMAGE> |
