A transistor amplifier for a video output stage is proposed which is preferably used for driving an image reproduction tube in high-resolution monitors. This stage consists of a cascode amplifier and a third transistor of the same type of conductivity which is connected in series therewith with its emitter-collector path. In addition, an emitter-follower-connected fourth transistor is provided which is driven by the third transistor.
