The invention relates to a multipole electric circuit breaker with moulded insulating casing of parallelepipedal shape. One of the lateral faces of the insulating casing 12 includes an opening 30 for communication with the compartment 24 for housing the separable contacts 36, 38 of each pole. The arc-extinction chamber 40 is made integral with an insulating support 69 which can be displaced in translation along the longitudinal direction of the pole in order to ensure, either the shutting off of the opening 90 in the inserted position of the chamber 40 inside the compartment 24, or the extraction of the chamber 40 through the said opening 90 allowing visual checking of wear to the contacts 36, 38 without removing the main fixing screws of the casing 12. <IMAGE>
