Apparatus for preparing beverages, comprising a flow heater and a rising pipe, extending upwards between said flow heater and a spraying head. The outlet opening of said spraying head is partly occupied by a cup-shaped element receiving at least part of the water flowing out of said rising pipe. The cup-shaped element consists of a flat perforated section and an elevated wall section. Inside the spraying head at least one electrode is secured, the lower end thereof positioned within the cup-shaped element underneath the upper edge of said elevated wall section, which electrode is electrically connected to an electrical detection circuit. |
