PURPOSE:To automatically return a device to a normal state to improve its safety by stopping the output of a driving signal delivered to a step motor for opening and closing a throttle valve, and by synchronously initializing a step position memory, when an abnormality detecting means has detected the abnormal state of the device. CONSTITUTION:The above mentioned device controls a step motor M2 by a driving means M8 on the basis of deviation between the target step position of the step motor M2 which is computed by a computing means M7 according to an output from a detecting means for the state of engine operation M6 and a step position read into a memory M3. An abnormality detecting means 10 detects the abnormal state of a device using an output from the means of detecting throttle opening M9 as one parameter. In this case, when abnormality detecting means 10 has detected the abnormal state of the device, a stopping means M13 temporarily stops the function of a driving means M8, and at the same time, an initializing means m14 initializes the memory M3, and a throttle valve m1 is thereby pushed into a closing direction by a pushing means M11. |
