PURPOSE:To provide the titled compsn. which has a low compaction temp. and a high density and does not cause lowering of its softening point and penetration, by blending a new asphalt compound consisting of an aggregate and asphalt with asphalt waste material, a rubber latex and a softener. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. aggregate (a) is blended with 3-15pts.wt. asphalt having penetration of 40-60 to 80-100 to obtain a new asphalt compound (A). One pt.wt. component A is blended with 0.5-3pts.wt. waste material (B) obtd. by cutting on asphalt pavement, 0.1-10wt% (on a solid basis, based on the amount of asphalt in the component B) rubber latex (C) (e.g. a styrene/ butadiene rubber latex having a solid content of 25-70wt%) and a softener (D) having a viscosity-gravity constant of 0.89-0.97 (e.g., arom. extender oil) in an amount of 0.5-20 times that of the solid in the component C. |
