A thermodynamically miscible polymer composition containing (A) a copolymer having recurring units of a C<Sub>2</Sub> to C<Sub>4</Sub> a-olefin and recurring units of an N-aryl substituted maleimide and (B) a copolymer of acrylonitrile with styrene or a-methyl styrene. Said copolymer (B) can be optionally grafted with rubber which forms a disperse phase within the continuous phase formed by the two copolymers.
