PURPOSE:To attain the rewriting of information and at the same time to avoid such a case where the recorded information is destructed by magnetism, static electricity and, bending, etc., by providing an information recording layer of the form memory plastic to a part of a card base. CONSTITUTION:A recessed groove 12 is formed on a card base 10 and an information recording layer 16 made of shape memory plastic is provided to the groove 12 via a cushion material 14. The shape memory plastic of the layer 16 consists of a shape memory polymer. When the information is recorded and erased, a signal pattern is produced previously in the form of a recessed/ projected master board and then pressed against the layer 16. Thus the information 20 on the recessed holes are recorded and then erased with heating and by the physical properties of said shape memory plastic. Then a master board of a different type of information is pressed again against recording of information. Hereafter the recording and erasion can be repeated in the same way and at the same time it is possible to avoid such a case where the recorded information is destructed by magnetism, static electricity and bending, etc. |
