<p>PURPOSE:To strip and recover the constituent metals of a clad material at a high rate of recovery by heating the clad material consisting of Al and steel to a temp. below the m.p. of Al, cooling it to room temp. and carrying out mechanical separation. CONSTITUTION:Scrap of a clad material manufactured by alternately laminating Al or Al alloy plates 2 and steel or stainless steel plates 4 and subjecting the laminate to rolling, explosive cladding or brazing is heated to 500 deg.C - a temp. below the melting temp. of the Al or Al alloy plates 2 and heating is continued for 5min-1hr. After the heated clad material is cooled to room temp., the plates 2, 4 are mechanically stripped from each other with pincers 8 or the like. Little Al or Al alloy sticks to the steel plates 4 and the continuent metals of the clad material are separated and recovered at a high rate of recovery.</p> |
