The container of at least five hundred litres capacity is for bulk flowable materials. The container has an inner tubular member (I), preferably of fibreboard with a plastics liner (24), in which hoop stress of the tubular member resists fluid pressure. A double outer member (7), preferably of folded corrugated fibreboard, is at least as long as the tubular member. The outer may be fitted with nesting end caps (16,17). This member resists column stacking loads, and may be reinforced by struts (32).
