PURPOSE:To select easily the channel of each broadcasting station by displaying identified results of information contents of received radio waves with visible patterns indicating information contents. CONSTITUTION:Sound signals obtained by detection of received signals in a tuner 1 are subjected to frequency analysis through a changeover switch by a filter circuit 3 and are sampled in time division successively by a multiplexer 4. Signals obtained in a feature extracting circuit 2 consisting of the filter 3 and the multiplexer 4 are sent to a CPU 6 through an A/D converter 5 and an interface 7, and information contents are decided by the CPU 6. In this case, plural standard signal patterns corresponding to various information contents such as music, news, etc. and their visible patterns are stored preliminarily in an ROM 10, and frequencies of broadcasting stations are stored preliminarily in an RAM 11, and information in these ROM 10 and RAM 11 are used for decision. As the decided result, said visible pattern corresponding to required display data is outputted to a CRT monitor 15 through an output interface 13 and a video generator 14. |
