A process and a device for heating a plastics tube (2) emerging from an extruder (1) are described. The plastics tube (2) is guided over two rotating heating wheels (4, 5), which have grooves (8) on the outer circumference which are parallel to the circumference. In the process, the plastics tube (2) is alternately guided first by one wheel (e.g. 4) in a groove (8), the plastics tube (2) being heated mainly on the side in contact with the groove (8), and then in a corresponding manner being transferred in such a manner that the tube is guided on the other wheel (e.g. 5) rotating in the opposite direction, the opposite side of the tube (2) coming into heating contact with a corresponding second groove (8). A uniform heating in a small space is achieved by means of the invention. <IMAGE> |
