<p>Hydroquinone diethers of formula (I) are new: (where Y1 Y2 are F or Cl, or one of Y1 and Y2 forms a C-C bond with X; X is H or with Y1 or Y2 forms a bond; R is Y2Y2C=C(X)(CH2)3-, benzyl opt. substd. by >=1 CH3 and/or halo, or is Ph opt. substd. by >=1 CH3 and/or OCH3 and/or halo). Cpds. (I) have juvenile hormone activity which is partic. evident on Tenelurio molitor, and have acaricidal activity. They are formulated into compsn. as powders, aq. emulsions or suspensions.</p> |
