Plate radiators at top and bottom or on tiers of baking ovens are supplied with heating gas through feed shafts so that the gas flows forward the deflectors placed at the ends of the baffles used to split the radiator space into a series of adjacent channels. The deflectors split the gas flow in each channel into two flows which pass back to the return shafts through the return channels adjoining the respective feed channel. Thus the gas returns from two feed channels and temps. are evenly distributed over the area of the oven so as to ensure high quality product. Chokes and valves for the gas flow controls are mounted on a common actuator shaft.
|
