<p>Paper strips are placed over the side folds or pleats of the bag whilst still in the web, and are glued to these inside, after which the bag is separated from the web, folded, glued up to shape. Paper or cardboard strips can also be used to stiffen the grip holes and in bags which have their longitudinal welds along the sides the strips should cover the lapped material along the seams. The bag lies flat, is easily printed, and retains shape and neatness when not full.</p> |
