PURPOSE:To vary gamma characteristics variously according to the kind of an original by varying the irradiation intensity of an erasure pattern according to the original to be copied. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive body 10 is discharged electrostatically and cleaned, and the recharged electrostatically by a charger 12, and color separation exposure which uses a green filter F2 is carried out to form a green latent image. The green latent image is irradiated with the erasure pattern by an eraser 18 and then developed by a developing device 22. The obtained magenta visible image is transferred to transfer paper S and then the photosensitive body 10 is discharged, cleaned, and recharged for color separation exposure using a red filter F3. This red latent image is irradiated with the erasure pattern and then visualized by a developing device 24 with cyan toner and transferred to the transfer paper S. The transfer paper S is separated from a holder 28 by a separator 35 and a separating claw 37, and discharged from the device after the respective visible images are fixed by a fixing device. |
