PURPOSE:To remove a heater for heating so as to reduce the weight of on- vehicle equipments in an air conditioner for a bus and the like by providing a by-pass line equiped with a change-over means so as to permit a specified evaporator to function as a heater for heating. CONSTITUTION:When a main switch (not shown) and a change-over switch are operated to de-energize solenoids 31a, 41a, and 42a of solenoid valves 31, 41, and 42 for energizing a solenoid 32a of a solenoid valve 32, coolant of high temperature and of high pressure, which is discharged from an outlet port 2b of a compressor 2, flows as shown by a solid line, and is inducted into an evaporator 10 located in a rear cabin. In this case, the evaporator 10 functions as a condenser in such a way that the coolant is cooled into a liquefied coolant of high pressure and of intermediate temperature. This causes the evaporator 10 to radiate heat for heating the rear cabin. And then the coolant flows to an evaporator 8 through an outlet port 10b and a by-pass 22. Thus, this constitution eliminates a need for a heater so as to reduce a weight. |
