PURPOSE:To provide a novel copolymer composed of ethylene unit, styrene comonomer unit and ethylenic unsaturated monomer unit at specific ratios and having effectively improved properties required for the modification of electrically conductive material, foamed material and polymer, etc. CONSTITUTION:A copolymer having a density of 0.860-0.970g/cm<3> and a melt index of 0.05-100g/10min can be produced by high-pressure radical polymerization of 85.0-99.995(mol)% ethylene unit, 0.005-5%, preferably 0.01-2% styrene comonomer unit of formula (R1 is 3-5C alkenyl; R2 is H, Cl or 1-2C alkyl) (e.g. allylstyrene, isopropenylstyrene, 4-styryl-1-butene, etc.) and 0-10% ethylenic unsaturated monomer unit (e.g. propylene, butene-1, etc.) usually under 500-4,000kg/cm<2> pressure at 50-400 deg.C. |
