摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of repelling faults on the surface of a carrier by continuously traveling the rugged carrier at high speed, and allowing a gas which is volumetrically contracted on cooling to exist on the surface of the carrier immediately before the carrier reaches a bead forming part. CONSTITUTION:The carrier 8 having ruggedness on its surface is continuously traveled at high speed, and a coating soln. 5 is coated on the surface of the carrier 8 while forming a bead 9. The gas which is volumetrically contracted and/or condensed on cooling is allowed to exist on the surface of the carrier 8 immediately before the carrier reaches the bead forming part. For example, the surface of the carrier 8 is wetted with a solvent (e.g., water) by a spray 12, the solvent is instantaneously vaporized by a magnetron 10, etc., to expel the already formed fixed air layer, the ruggedness is completely filled with the gas having high affinity for the coating soln., and the thermally fixed gas layer of the gas is formed. Subsequently, the coating soln. is pressed on the surface of the carrier by the negative pressure generated by the contraction of the gas due to the cooling of the carrier 8 and the coating soln. Consequently, the generation of the so-called repelling faults can be prevented.
