PURPOSE:To reduce variance in the illuminance of uniform exposure for electrostatic discharging without making constitution complex by dividing a phosphor light emitting layer which forms the electrolumionescence (EL) of an electrostatic discharging device into plural parts and driving them independently. CONSTITUTION:The substrate electrode 25 of the electrostatic discharging device which erases an unnecessary image between latent images and the phosphor light emitting layer 23 which forms EL between transparent electrodes 21 and 22 are divided equally into two. Then, the light emitting layers 23 which are divided into two are driven independently with switches 41 and 42, etc., variance in the illuminance of uniform exposure for electrostatic discharging is reduced by the simple constitution which does not use a plasma display, etc., and electrostatic discharging is performed breadthwise uniformly, so that the unnecessary image is erased excellently. |
