A dual lumen embolectomy catheter (10) for visualization, isolation, and removal of an arterial embolus and sub sequent infusion of sterile liquid for irrigation of the embolus site, comprises a tube (12) divided into first (16) and second lumens (18). An aperture (20) in communication with an inflatable balloon (22) is provided at the distal end of the first lumen (16), and the distal end of the second lumen (18) is provided with an elastic covering enclosing a distal infusion port (32), the elastic covering having an opening including a slit (26) in the portion overlying the distal infusion port (32). |
