This invention concerns a fixing device for electrical boxes for securing a box in a hole in a wall or ceiling panel. The device comprises a track 1 which extends around the periphery of the hole and has fixing devices 2, 3 located at a distance from each other, a ribbed part 4 situated between these and a device 5 for securing the track in the electrical box 10. Known devices are fixed in the edge of the hole by deformation by means of the edges of the track being bent around the edge of the hole. The disadvantage of these devices is the poor fixing of the electrical box 10 in the wall 9. According to the invention the fixing device comprises at least two track pieces 1 with a length less than the diameter of the hole so that they can be put in place without the need to be deformed, whereby the pieces can be made very rigid. <IMAGE> |
