<p>Remote liquid level indicator for trim tanks of a submarine has a pipe or probe, of insulating, pref. corrosion-resistant material, which dips into the tank and has a set of contacts spaced along its surface and ending in its interior, each connected to an electrical conductor. The conductors are protected by a flexible pipe whose interior is filled with pref. silicone elastomer from the probe the probe up to, and beyond, the tank wall. The leads connect to a panel of electric lights, to indicate the level at a remote point.</p> |
