Lifting gear, connectable to a lifting apparatus, for lifting and handling of objects having two mutually opposing faces and preferably of objects standing on end, such as, for example, gas cylinders, poles, pillars and equivalent. In order to refine the prior art within the field in question, which comprises lifting slings as the link between the lifting apparatus and the gas cylinder to be lifted, this lifting gear comprises two torque arms 3 which are disposed articulately in a frame 1 and support mutually facing clamping members 13 for clamping between themselves the object to be lifted and which, at a greater distance from the frame 1 than are the clamping jaws 13, are mutually joined by a lifting arm 7 which is pivotably attached to the respective torque arm 3 and which, between its said hinge points 8, is hinged- connected at a joint 9 to a member 11 for connecting the lifting gear to the lifting apparatus. <IMAGE> |
