For the purpose of simple synchronisation of fixed-position transmitters (1, 2, 3) whose signals are processed in the vehicle, by detecting the differences in their propagation times ( tau 1, tau 2), to produce position signals, the transmitters (3) are synchronised by forming the average between the times (T1.1, T2.1) of their signal transmission in the direction of transmitters (1, 2) which are adjacent to a master transmitter (Figure 1). <IMAGE>
