<p>PURPOSE:To ensure enough front visibility from a car running along a curved road and the like, and improve safety by constituting the system wherein the headlight beam direction of a car is made variable depending upon the extent of steering wheel operation. CONSTITUTION:A gear 3 is fitted to the steering wheel axis 2 of a steering wheel 1 and another gear 4 gearing with said gear 3 is fitted to the rotary axis of a torque synchronized transmitter 5. And an output signal from the transmitter 5 is sent to a torque synchronized receiver 6, and the beam directions of right and left headlights 9 and 8 are changed by the rotation of the rotary axis of said receiver 6 via a headlight drive device 7. For example, when a car is running along a lane curved toward right and the steering wheel 1 is turned to right by an angle of theta, the beam direction of the right head light 8 is changed to right by theta and that of the left headlight to right by theta/2, respectively.</p> |
