PURPOSE:To prevent offset from occurring at the time of perfect printing, by coating an impression cylinder with a specified silicone resin having a low surface energy. CONSTITUTION:A solution of a silicone resin of formula I or II optionally comprising a hardener is applied to the surface of a metallic cylinder for an impression cylinder, and is hardened by heating or is dried. In formula I, n is an integer of 10-100,000. In formula II, n is an integer of 0-10, l is 0 or 1, and m is an integer of 1-14, with the proviso that n is not 0 when l is 1. The coated film of the silicone resin of formula I or II has a low surface energy, so that it is difficult for a printing ink to adhere to the coated film. Accordingly, offset can be prevented from occurring. |
