Mechanical gear box with one primary shaft 1 and with two secondary shafts 2 and 3, characterised in that: - the first secondary shaft 2 comprises idling pinions for first 10, second 11, fifth 12 and reverse 13 gear; with a double synchroniser 26 arranged between the first gear 10 and a second gear 11 pinions, and a double synchroniser 28 arranged between the fifth gear 12 and reverse gear 13 pinions; - the second secondary shaft 3 comprises idler pinions for third gear 14 and fourth gear 15 with a double synchroniser 27 arranged between the third gear 14 and fifth gear 15 pinions; - the third gear 7 pinion of the primary shaft 1 being arranged between the teeth of the idling pinion 13 for reverse gear of the first secondary shaft 2, and the double synchroniser 28 for fifth gear and reverse gear. <IMAGE>
