With a device for controlling refrigeration installations operated by burnable gas, such as for example refrigerators in campers or caravans, a solution is to be provided, with which all functions, such as ignition, adjustment, control and monitoring, can be initiated or carried out via the actuation of a single operating element. This is achieved in that there are provided in a housing (27) a gas supply and adjusting valve (3), a thermostatic unit (5) controlled by the internal temperature of the cooling unit, an ignition safety device (2) controlled by a thermoelement (8), as well as an electric switch (25) for generating the ignition spark. <IMAGE>
