In order to prevent the castor also rotating after insertion into the foot of an appliance when the castor has a device for its releasable attachment in the tubular feet of appliances, the said device consisting of an expansion sleeve with clamping screw and clamping nut, it is proposed that the sleeve components (6, 7) of the expansion sleeve be closed in an annular shape at the ends facing away from one another, that expansion fingers (10, 11) protrude away from the annular parts (8, 9), formed in this way, of the respective one sleeve part (6) to the respective other sleeve part (7) and be arranged so as to engage one in the other, the lateral longitudinal edge faces of the said fingers (10, 11) resting at least approximately against one another, that the clamping nut be formed by a thread recess (18) in one annular part (9), which part faces away from the head of the clamping screw (4), and that the face, facing the bearing plate (3) of the castor, of the opening-side annular part (8) have engagement means (13) which engage in recesses (12) of the bearing plate. <IMAGE>
