PURPOSE:To make it possible to maintain an appropriate gap distance by carrying out curing process while the gap distance of each path is being controlled by using a jig having radial ribs related with distributing and recovering paths. CONSTITUTION:A jig 20 consists of an outer cylinder 22 and an inner cylinder 24. Multi-numbers of ribs 26 extended to the radial inner direction corresponding to the distributing paths 14 for unfiltered liquid are integrally set on the outer cylinder 22. A plurality of ribs 28 extended to the radial outer direction corresponding to the recovery paths 16 for filtered liquid are integrally set on the inner cylinder 24. Side walls of pleats of each group of a filter element 10 are regulated by abutting against the sides of these ribs 26, 28 to keep the clearances for the paths 14, 16. The inner and outer surfaces are controlled by the outer surface of the inner cylinder 24 and the inner surface of the outer cylinder 22 respectively. After uncured filter element 10 is set in the jig 20, it is kept in a hot air circulating oven to cure the adhesive impregnated in the filter element and to obtain a permanent shape of the filter element. The gap distance of a path between a group of pleats and another group being in adjacencies can be thereby properly held. |
